[edit] Bug Reports/Feedback
If you notice any bugs in our demo or have any comments or ideas on how to improve it then just describe the bug or provide feedback under the relevant heading. Headings will be separated by location in alphabetical order, and also by using the following sub-headings. If you're not sure where to put write, or if something you you want to give feedback on something that is not specific to a location, just use the general heading.
- Programming bugs: This can mean anything from outright game crashes, error messages, missing objects, logical errors.
- Parser problems: Any annoyances you have with the parser, eg when you know what you need to do, but the game won't let you select the words you want to use.
- Cosmetic bugs: This can include spelling errors, wrong spacing, big gaps between paragraphs.
- Feedback: This section will be for general feedback. We welcome any kind of constructive criticism, whether certain sections be too difficult, unfunny, badly written, or even where parts work very well. Any feedback is most appreciated.

Using Frotz v2.43 for Ubuntu: when I save and then restore, it starts showing all the verbose event information:
>restore
Enter a file name.
Default is "/home/[username]/.infocom/spaceship.sav":
Ok.
[stopped: success]

Running live version under Linux Debian Lenny
Save-Restore works fine within a session.
If I quit & open a new session, restoring the save from previous session gives 'Restore failed'.
No other info in transcript.

The introduction is long (but the writing is good). Most players will read from a computer screen (or a tiny handheld screen): you don't have the fine print of a newspaper or novel. Tried the Javascript online, then the download (in Spatterlight). Is any scenery implemented?

> search desk You can’t see any such thing.
> take all Art Print: That’s hardly portable.
> hint That’s not a verb I recognise.

There is no suction in vacuum; it is hard to suspend disbelief on this one.

I was not able to combine stethoscope and hearing aid to open the safe. I've used every command combination I would think of including the one used on the Wiki (had to check for help on this one!): 'use stethoscope with hearing aid'. This just produced an "item is not recognised" error (don't remember the actual output, but it was something similar).
This solution is also perhaps a wee to difficult to figure out on one's own - to combine the stethoscope and hearing aid. I was able to figure out all of the other puzzles in the game on my own up to this one. Perhaps there could be more of a textual clue about it in the game?
Good feedback thanks. Some changes have been implemented based on the feedback, with further improvements to come.
