Talk:Spaceship:Engine
From TextAdventure
- Here's one take on it, How about the engines are actually from a much higher tech spaceship that have been retrofitted to this ship. Because the engines are much higher quality than the ship, the engines themselves aren't damaged much. The only things that are broken are the technically inferior fittings that have been hastily bolted together to attach them to the ship. One of these is the fuel line which leads from the ship to each engine (I imagine there are 2 of them). And another damaged part could be the engine gyro, which is a turret like platform that aims each engine. The gyros are a collection of rotating wheels and gears, one gear of which, is damaged. I idea of moving parts also keeps with the puzzle in that the engine must be switched off before the player is able to fix it. --Hambargarz 02:09, 5 June 2008 (BST)
- I imagine the engines themselves are sleek and streamlined in appearance, with no sign of moving parts or damaged. This is contrasted with the low tech bolted on technology of the fuel line and gyro that connect it and should make it more obvious to the player, where to look for the problem. --Hambargarz 02:09, 5 June 2008 (BST)
